Tohatsu 40D conversion to 50D

I have a 2006 Tohatsu 40D and was wondering if it is possible to convert it to the 50 hp rating. Is this possible? Any thoughts would be great!

Yes it's possible both are 697 CC, both have 1.85:1 Gear Ratio, the 50 Has 150 more rpm at wot, would be a matter of checking spare parts manual to see which parts to change for factory upgrade. TG must have the tech answer finale.

New carbs and exhaust tube....Not really worth it.
