Tohatsu 4-Stroke 18hp wont start

Hi- Newbie here...<br /><br />Just bought a new Tohatsu 18 / 4 stroke. While performing the grueling break-in, I experience a re-curring problem. The starter won't energize after the engine gets hot. This happened twice today. Thank God for the rope! Let her sit for an hour - no problem. The dealer's close and very reputable. I picked it up Friday and I'm obviously taking it back tomorrow. I think the problem is in the solenoid. Looks like a thermal device across from the coil on the wiring diagram. <br /><br />Anyone else experiencing this quirk? <br /><br />Going to Canada in 2 weeks - Gettin nervous...

Check battery cables at battery and at engine.<br /><br />Good luck.
