Hello,

I have a 2016 5 hp tohatsu outboard. I just bough a lower unit oil plug gasket. But it is smaller than original piece. Then i notice in the internet 2 kind of gasket a bit smaller and a bit larger, 332600060 and 332600060M gaskets and both are for Tohatsu. I really didnt get, should i use that smaller new gasket or should i buy same size like original piece.? Here is not local shop and shipping to Finland take at least 1-2 week, thats why it is important to know for me. Here is pictures from gaskets.
Thank you for answer!

First, to identify your motor, we need the exact model/serial, not year of manufacture. I assume you have an MFS5C. However, in the case of drain plugs, model is irrelevant. The drain plugs are 8 mm. The gasket is 8.1 mm inside x 15 mm outside, about 1 mm thick fiber. These have not changed for any models in over 40 years. The part number remains 332600060. In the US, they add an M to the end, representing the old Marubeni importer to the US. Still, it is the same part. Odds are your old gasket was distorted by over tightening. The new gasket should be fine.

Incidentally, your motor will run better, have 20% more power, and idle better if you install the carburetor for the 6A2. PM me if you need any help with any of this.

From your picture I don't see where you're getting the part #332600060. Looks like it's a different part number and not from Tohatsu (picture shows it's made in Taiwan...Tohatsu parts are made in Japan).
