Tohatsu 2 stroke 4hp conversion to 5 hp

Never saw a Tohatsu 2 stk 4 hp motor; just the 3.5 and the 5.

mercury 4 and 5 hp, mariner 4 and 5 hp 2 stoke is based on Tohatsu powerhead.
so look for 5 hp carb and install on your tohatsu or change main jet, emulsion tube

For a correct 4HP to a 5HP upgrade need to swap the 4 HP carb for a 5 HP carb, right after can go for one less pitch prop to pull wot revs up specially if pushing a larger or heavier boat.

NO. If true that there was a 4 hp motor, the throat is bigger on the 5 carb. Changing the jet and tube will just make it too rich.
