My Tohatsu has been running great for years but last season it started having some issues running...Over the winter I had the spark plugs changed, the water pump and fuel filter replaced...nothing done to the carb..yet.
The motor will start but is stilling have issues running.
I'm looking for a carb repair kid. I believe I need a 3G2-87122-0 carb repair kit but I can't find it....anyone have an idea where I can purcahse the carb repair kit?
I also heard that they sell a conversion kit for this older style carb... any suggestions on the conversion kit? Is it the right move?

Tohatsu guru,

Thanks for the quick response including the cost information. The motor as the repair shop right now. I'm waiting for there assessment of the situation. I will give you a call either way in about 2 weeks to purchase the repair kit.
Just curious, how many do you have in stock. It it true that Tohatsu stopped making parts for this Carb?

Okay, lets rewind this a little bit. We have the 3G2871220 carb kits. There is no shortage of them. But, they do not fit your 15B model. The carb parts for your model engine are no longer available from any source and there is no adapter, kit or remedy to make something fit your carb. Tohatsu stopped supporting that 18 year old model engine about three years ago. So, carb parts are now gone forever and your only hope is to find one in a yard and cannibalize it for parts.

Do you have any recommendations on a yard that I can contact?
when you say there is no remedy to make something if my carb.. does that mean that an entirely new / different carb would never fit?

Random junk pile for an engine and there is no adapter or anything else that would allow you to use a diffferent carb. IE It's junk unless you find a junk motor. It's a pity, but that is just the way it is.
