Tohatsu 120 A Gearcase Needed

I have a Tohatsu 120A that has a blown gearcase. Removal procedure (shift shaft?)is shift into forward? and is a 140 gearcase innerchangeable?<br />This is a Tohatsu 120<br />M120A<br />3E0 20554

The 120 and 140 are the same engine except for the timing and the throttle stop on the top carb. To remove the lower unit take of the securing bolts and drive out the shift pin in the coupler.
