today was "Carburetor Day".....

The carb on this project was bad. Really bad. Completely frozen up, no moving parts would move. The body was heavily corroded.

Twenty+ years laying in mud behind a barn will do that, I suppose.

I wish I had taken more "before" pictures, but here ya go....you get the idea, right?

Totally disassembled it, bead blasted the exterior (only), prime & paint, cleaned every part, rebuilt it completely w/ a carb kit, new float, new packing, etc.

A work of art, if I do say so myself! Not a bad day on "the project". Maybe someday it will run.....

Great job Mark.

I have a funny feeling your basement will look like alot of ours soon enough with piles upon piles of the antiques!

Keep us posted on how it is going. If you need any parts let me know, I have 2 parts motors, you are more than happy to the parts you need for the price of shipping.

Thanks! I'll keep it in mind.

I do have a driveshaft issue, but my friend (owns a machine shop) and I think we have a solution...

Next up: Magneto plate renovation.
