To the point of scrapping the whole thing please help

So here goes again
I have a 1967 100 hp johnson golden meteor it is giving me fits
#1 shows no spark on any plug yet will start
#2 timing goes from perfect just hold auto choke bump key and she purrrrs next minute wont start at all
#3 cranks like a champ runs like a scalped dog WOT stop to fish and wont crank and stay running

Please any help will be appreciated

I've checked compression 120ish on all 4 cylinders

Something may be loose, like stator, ignition parts, even flywheel.

Your #2 doesn't make sense. Please edit.

#1 is impossible. It can't run wihout spark. It isn't a Diesel. Now, you may have intermittant spark, which is likely.

EDIT: Without being there, all we can do is guess. So, if you will settle for a guess, mine is the 580338 distributor rotor is arcing through to the shaft. OR, maybe the 580291 carbon brush and spring assy is missing from the distributor cap. Could be a bad coil too. Or a dozen other things.

On that mtr it could also be a bad power pack.
