i know where there is a boat for sale...one that i cant buy because of the distance/shipping....but i think...a few of the guys here would be very...very intrested....

how do i approach this....without breaking the rules.....

I would imagine that if you were involved in a conversation about Boats, or Boats in Want Ads, or Whatever,.........
And happened to mention that you saw a pretty niffty boat listed in the craigslist over in whereever city you might be talking about,........
As long as you Don't post a direct link,......
Nothing says that a Savoy shopper couldn't search the said website,+ Find the mentioned boat on his, or her own...........
Depending on the suaveness of the above mentioned Shopper,......
You might have to reasonably clearly define his, or her search critiera...........

What is considered an advertisement? I'd like to post photos of my scooter but I'm afraid to mention it's make or model or anything of the sort for fear of advertising.

you can post pictures of it. as long as you are not trying to sell it. "my new ride" "my new tow vehicle", or if you built it from scratch "look what i came up with"

witf, as long as you are not advertising the scooter for sale, post away.
My sig has my boat etc in it, but it's not for sale.
Look at all the pictures of the folks in the pics of your boat and pics of your tow vehicle threads.
They are not putting them on there to sell.
It is pretty common sense stuff if you stop and think about it.
