To many forums!

I wish they would consolidate the amount of forums they have. Some forums get a reply asap, others I wait days and still see my post in the last few posts.

With almost 232k members there has to be a variety of interests.

Patience is a vertue.

I have also found that fewer share information than actually look at threads, mostly due to they are seeking answers as well or retaining info for the future.

Responses are more dependent on topic and how well written the post is than on what forum they are in.

Have to agree with JB
Some threads make no sense whatsoever and the solution to the questions asked could be one or more of a multitude of things. Many folks will shy away from them because there is not enough initial information to go on.
Examples.
My motor won't start. What is wrong with it ??
Ran great 5 years ago and has been sitting under a tree. Why won't it run right now ??
And the list goes on.
Just my 2 cents though and not intended to offend.

All good points and I def see how both general and dockside get a lot of responses. I just wish others got the same. Do we really need two fishing forums? Sometimes I have to searches to find relevant posts. When I post something in general that is technical, I get many good responses fairly quickly, when I post something technical and post it in the electrical forum it takes longer and I seldomly get a response.
