Recently got a force 90hp model 906X92C which i believe thanks to all the helpfull hints on here is a 90 hp, 6 being electric start w/o pwr trim and a 20 or 15 length shaft, X being sold to Bayliner, 92 the year, and c is a revision number.? Engine was bebuilt 6 months ago and has about 6 hours on. Problem is when trying to idle it stalls. Restarting it can be a challenge and feels like a miracle when it does. I am new to this all, so I wasn't sure if previous posts applied. Any suggestions (help) would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: to idle is to stall

Welcome to the board. Tons of good knowledge here. I'm just a rookie, but they have helped me a bunch of times. Did you have the motor before the rebuild? When it was torn down were the carbs rebuilt? New fuel pump diaphram put in? Do you have fresh gas in the boat? Is the vent open on the tank?

I had it before the rebuild. I don't think the carbs were rebuilt nor a new pump diaphram was put it either. There was fresh gas in the boat but I don't know about the vent on the tank. Does anyone know the NAPA part numbers? Thanks
