I've got a Jonny115 crossflow, 97' model and all at once I lost my TNT. I've checked both relays-test good by OMC manual, I've tried to run trim motor by disconnecting pigtail under hood and applying 12vlts, no luck So I tested eng. side of pigtail-green and blue, and I show 12.5 volts on both to ground without any switches pushed so I disconnected both switches and still have voltage at both spades.....Any suggestions?????

Re: TNT no-go

Did you try connecting voltage directly to the T/T motor leads?I'm thinking the two wires you read voltage on are power to the relays. Also ,you may have a problem with the tilt limit switch position that is located on one side of the steering tube. This prevents the motor from being tilted too far and making contact with the transom. It is adjustable.Try voltage to the T/T motor leads first and post results.

Re: TNT no-go

OB, I get nothing when applying power to the motor leads-either way. I'm pretty sure I've smoked the trim motor but before I replace it, I need to find why I have 12.5 volts at both spades, with both switches unhooked. It was working great as we were drifting a mile or so, and if I run the eng up to full TRIM it drifts better....after about 4 drifts, I went to put it clear down to head back and it wouldn't go either direction........I guess I'm going to be tracing some wires-the diagram, from what I can see, tells me the only way to get power through is a bad relay, but they both tested just as the manual says they should???????????
Thanks

With everything hooked up as normal ,do you hear a click from the T/T relays when pushing the button?

Re: TNT no-go

Seems as the manual states that one of the relays is allowing voltage through energizing both motor leads.

Re: TNT no-go

OB, thank you for the help! I'm going to start at the power supply to the TNT and make sure all wiring is OK and replace motor and both relays. I will check voltage at spades after installing relays just to make sure there is no voltage, and plug 1 switch in at a time and test before hooking up pigtail to new motor........
Thanks again for the help!!!! :)
