Hello all. you guys have been invaluable to my restoration of my tn28. first trip out this spring my clutch spring was broken from the get go. So i am currently running on half of a spring with no clutch anyways.... does a pinion spring assembly for a tn26 fit the tn 28, with the exception of the ear that expands the spring? all i really need is the spring but cant find it without the shaft.

My wife is VERY forgiving, lol. You should see my basement. She has to scale my spare powerheads like My Everest to get to the washer/dryer :)

Yes you can. I've done it many times. You can also cut, carve, sand & grind on it if necessary. It won't soak up gas.
