I have a 1984 shoreline trailer. Single axel with 14" wheels (those spoke rim type) 5 lug. When I bought the trailer the spare was a 13" car tire (the rim wont hold air for more then a couple of hours) so I know there is a cross over. The question is what? It is not chevy I tried that. Can get a tire and rim at the local junk yard a lot cheeper. Like I said its just a spare and I dont trailer far.

Ford Ranger and some others, I think Dodge. There are 5 lugs in a 4.5" pattern. But be sure that what you get has a large enough center hole to fit over your hub.

BTW, there is nothing wrong with a 13" LRC tire as a spare. They sure take up less space and you wouldn't leave it on for long anyway.

Good luck. :)

Most trailer tire rims 13" and 14" are Ford/Chrysler 5 on 4.5"

Also keep an eye out for 5 on 5's. I got stumped on this with my car trailer (I am sure boat axles too). Not sure what vehicle to get it from but I got a spare for my car trailer at the junk yard for free.

A trick that worked for me after wrecking wheel lugs was to take some gasket paper and a small ball-peen hammer and tap gently the stud pattern along with the centre hub size and carry that around to find a replacement. It worked great, because I could identify immediately the one I wanted the first place I came to I bought from!
It may work for others.
Ross
