tips to get bottom pin out gimbal housing

ok i have to change my gimbal bearing got the outdrive off and now this bottom pin is being a pain why do they have a flat head slot on it, in my dia it says its just a pin and yes i pulled the cotter pin alpha 1 gen 2.

You don't have to remove anything but the outdrive to get the gimbal bearing out.

Don ,it`s a good thing we don`t work on nuclear devices.Be H@#L to pay working without a manual.

If you had the OEM manual, you wouldn't have been taking it all apart to begin with.
