Hi All

I bought a Tiny Tach and had a quick question.

Can the coax cable be lengthened by me, or do I have to send it away to have it lengthened?

WEB site says that any adjustment to cable length must be done to the coax. FAQ #9 answers your question. If you've worked with coax before, it shouldn't be an issue for you to do it yourself.

you usually dont need to extend the outer braid just the inner ...I dont suggest soldering as these things are very sensitive to static discharge .....you can twist by hand but when I sold them we just twisted the two lengths of insulated wire around one another for about 4 inches ..keep cable away from other harness .

I have ebay copy of tinytach, the one that has 2 buttons s1 and s2 and I lengthened it with simple wire and it works fine

but its not waterproof and if left in the sun the front plastic will crinkle up ..if it goes 00000 11111 22222 the battery has come disconncted .....sold thousands of that model 10% failure rate
