timing

i replaced the timing belt on my early 70's merc 115 inline 6 i marked evrything and do have some mechanical experience but it seems i either have the timimg off a bit or my carbs are acting up. Can someone give a link to how to time this engineso i can eliminate that as the cause of my problem much appreciated

Did you find TDC and line up your distributor pulley "arrow" with your timing mark? You do that initially, then follow the above link. Good Stuff !!!
