How do I set the timing, Or where do I get a manual, More importantly, where do I get the Correct manual that I need for setting the timing and stuff.

Get the manual first. Look on iboats, amazon, ebay alot of places carry them. Just be sure to get the one that covers your motor and it will have the timing procedures along with repairs. Usually the cost of a manual is less than 1/2 hour of a labor charge at most shops. Very worth it.

The very best service manual is from Mercury. Get the serial number off your engine. Then go the Parts Express on the Mercury Marine web site and order the manual. Aftermarket manuals are ok in some areas, bad in others, and usually terrible in the areas you need the most detail.
