Timing Specs 150hp Black Max

Hi,<br />Can anybody tell me the correct timing specs for a 1985 Mercury 150hp Black Max. It is hesitating a little on acceleration and I want to make sure timing is correct before I go looking at other possible causes. It's running great once it gets going. <br /><br />Many Thanks<br />DavoOZ

My personal experience with Merc's is that I have never had one jump time except for a on the old ones with distributors. I would look to the fuel system first.

Timing doesn't change unless someone changes it or stuff was left loose when it was last timed. A shop manual would be helpful in logically eliminating possibilities.
