timing setting

can someone tell be the setting for timing a vortec 4.3 litre for 89 ocatane.

The problem is i rebuilt a 95 and added vortec heads and intake and a holley 4 barrel carb

but it is the stock mptor from a 95 sundowner with the added vortec accesories

I know that, which one? Prestolite BID or Delco EST?

Sorry to sound dumb but how do I tell the difference. Its all stock from a 95 fourwinns sundowner with a 4.3.

You should have the Delco EST. Here is how to set it.
1? BTDC - w/86-88 AKI fuel, 6? BTDC w/89 AKI fuel or higher.

There's one on the left and one on the right. The shop never hooked them up. I Oates pics in another thread
