I have a 1973 mercury 1500 150hp outboard. Is it possible for it to jump timing? I was cruising full throttle and it just quit. It turns over but wont start. Almost like the coil wire is off. I have spark in all cylinders and gas. if it jumped timing how do I check and fix?

frustrated

Remove all the plugs and put a timing light on number one sparkplug wire and see where it fires.

c/6

Hooty
