Hi!
This is my first time entering posts. I found this site very helpful after I bought a boat earlier this year, but I haven't seen any treads yet, covering my problem. Can somebody tell me what the marks indicate. I haven't adjusted timing for quite a few years, and I am a little rusty..! Is each "thooth" one degree, and are the "thooth" above the hole T.D.C..? The picture was taken at 600rpm, using the timing light as blitz for the camera. Am I right to assume that this shows 6 degree B.T.D.C..?

Thanks

Just after I posted this, I saw a tread that covered the same problem. I'll try with some paint stripper, to see if I can get some more information. According to the other post, each thooth was 4 degrees, so it looks like the picture I attached showed approx. 12 degrees...
