tohatsu friends;
due to the Clymer Tohatsu outboard manual(1992-2000), timing of my M25C2 should be: -2 too +20 degrees BTDC. Are these not correct for my MC25C2 year 1987?????
When is disconnect my link rods, rotation of the set ring is only possible of 15 degrees.
Also the amout of rotation bij gashandle is also max 15 degrees.
I suppose that the little triangle on the set ring means 0 degrees BTDC :confused: , and not, as clymer writes in book: the wide open throttle mark?

Hope to hear,

The specifications are correct. Set the timing with the engine throttle at WOT on the BTDC

Tohatsu Guru,

thanks for reply. sorry but i don't understand.
"Set the timing with the engine throttle at WOT on the BTDC" that means 0 degrees at 5000 rpm? Or does the sign mean 20 degrees.
Please reply ones more. thanks.

just to be sure:
triangle on the set ring matches crankcase halves means 20 degrees BTDC?
and not 0 degrees as by other 40-50-60-70 hp models.

If you have a triangle instead of a 20 degree hash mark than the answer is yes.
