So my cheapie actron timing light stb.... Need a new one with advance. Thank god I had my ESI self powered backup with me.

I'm looking at the equus 5568.

http://www.equus.com/product_info.php?product_id=5568

Looks to be the identical to the snap on/blue point EETL5568... even the model number is the same...

http://buy1.snapon.com/catalog/item...&group_ID=1388&store=snapon-store&dir=catalog

Anyone have either of them? Love it, hate it?? Any other recomendations for a new light? Not looking for a bargain basement model...

Thanks!!

wow I haven't used my timing light in so long I don't even know if it still works. I think mine is an equus and it always worked good. The snap on will be good but overpriced like the rest of their stuff

I am with jimr using a timing light is a lost art in the automotive sector. My Mac light has always worked. The only options i ever used was the advanced timing/dwell/rpm. Blue point has been a good brand for me as i am not familiar with equus products.
