timing 1996 black scorpion 5.7L

does anyone know how to time a 1996 black scorpion 5.7L (315hp)? I know I have to put the engine in base timing mode and I have the Rinda Codemate tool to do this with. I just dont know the correct procedure. (I also have a timing light). I read the manual that tells you how to do the timing for thunderbolt IV and V ignitions but I am not sure which ignition system I have. Anyone have any ideas?
