I have a 290 outdrive that is leaking pass the o-ring making the leg drop. My seloc repair manual shows part number 321446 as the o-ring I need to replace. I have tried to find this part but haven't had any luck. Can anyone help me find these o-rings? Thanks

That's not a Volvo number. Perhaps you should contact Seloc the aftermarket maker of that manual and ask them. Where does it go, and why would they say that one certain oring causes the problem? Could be a leaking check valve in the pump, or a leaking piston seal on the trim cylinders. But the trim cylinders are not servicable, maybe a leaking fitting somewhere? Are you loosing oil?

Re: tilt & trim repair

Don, I'm not losing any oil. When I purchased the boat the trim guage was'nt working and the previous owner just kept banging the leg up or down until the pump strained. I'm quit sure this o-ring in the trim cylinders is damaged. The solec manual says that volvo does not sell this part separately but that it is widely used in the marine industry as omc part 321446. However it may be a misprint. I was hoping someone else had rebuilt their trim cylinders and could offer some advise.
