Hi, I use to have a 1982 Evinrude 140hp with a 13 x 19 SS prop. on my boat,
(head broke)
So I found a 1985 Johnson 140 hp that has a V6 gear case and I found a
14 x 19 aluminum prop. for it. Now my boat rides with the bow higher
(too High) than it used to be, even at low speeds. The tilt/trim is down all the way.
1. Can the tilt/trim be adjusted to go lower?
2. Do I have too much prop. now?
3. Are there wedges that can go between the top of transom and the motor, (for more tilt)?
Any other ideas you may have? Thank-you All !!!

Can it be adjusted-no. Can you wedge it, yes.

Make sure the tilt pin is in the lowest hole. The trim will only go down to that pin.

The engine should turn a minimum of 5500 RPM at wide open throttle. Getting the correct prop, without a tach, is guesswork.
