Last two trips out, after loading onto trailer, when raising engine as it shifts from trim to tilt, I hear a grinding noise. Once home it will not make the grinding noise. I do not know how to check the fluid, but have no leaks. I did hit a floater a couple a weeks ago, but can find no damage. Everything seems to working normal, except for the above scenario. Water temp is colder (50*) at landing than air temp. Would someone help me find a photo of a similar trim section with the fill parts identified so I can check the fluid level as a first place to look. Any other suggestions are appreciated. Meanwhile, I'm gonna go grease the hinge used when raising and lowering the motor. Thanks...BF

Will be hard ta tell without pullin' it out but see if you can tell if tha "pin" holding tha top part of tha tilt cylinder rod might have a slight bend in it. Also check tha pivot "balls" and pads for tha trim rods............
