Tilt trim Motor problem 115 johnson

Need help Think i have a frayed wire on tilt trim motor on a 115 johnson , if you take the 2 screws of the top and list it up 1 of the connecting wires is frayed really bad , what is the best way to fix the wire (solder mayby) :%

You can probably replace it with new,rather than try a patch job.When fixed,use at least neoprene dip along the motor housing flanges.

About how much new , And how much trouble to replace tilt trim motor

Buy some good 3m eletrical tape, about $5 perroll and wrap it up . Worst case is it doesn't hold up and you have tto buy a new motor in a couple years.
