tilt/trim goes up but not down
we have a mercruiser 3.0 alpha 1988. The tilt motor runs in both directions and it will raise outdrive all the way up however it won't go down. Motor sounds more "solid" going up kind of whiny sounding in down mode. I have seen other posts with the milky problem in pump oil I too have that problem. Don't see how under 1900 lbs pressure water could enter lines. Is it air or water? Also someone put gear oil in the reservoir could that make it foam? lots of problems for one tilt, sure could use some guidance thanks Mike
