I have a 89 Bayliner 85 HP L-drive and the motor slowly lowers itself over about 5 minutes. It looks like the fluid for the tilt may be low. Which fluid do I use, I've heard about using 30 weight SAE non-detergent oil...is this just plain automotive 10w30 motor oil like you'd get at canadian tire? The fluid in the resevour looks to be motor oil.

Any tips in topping up the fluid.. or bleeding off the pump if needed

Thanks

10w-30 is to light an oil. You need to get the 30wt nondetergent type. There has to be an automotive store that carried this in Canada.
