I need to buy a new throttle control to go on my 1986 Johnson 60HP outboad. I need to know what i need. do i have tilt, trim, or both. The engine can be moved up and down on a central pivot. Which ope is this?
If it moves by hydraulics and an electric motor(Push of a Button), then it has Tilt & Trim if it's a factory installed unit. You will need a control that has the T & T setup(Button) in the handle, with the wiring harness to go to the T&T motor. They can be had on E-Bay fairly regularly!<br /><br />(If you don't have the electric T&T, then you just need a regular old control, which can also be found on E-Bay.
