tilt and trim

5.7volvo penta sx drive , tilt and trim work fine but when up it leaks down what is this ? and is it expensive ?

You need to define a little more what you mean...
1. is there any fluid that actaully leaks out of the system??
2. Do you mean when you leave it in "up" position it goes down by itself? ( at some rate of speed )

Have not seen any fluid,and yes leaks down when left up
