This is my first visit to iboats forum, but it looks like a real helpful site. I have a problem with a tilt and trim system and I just wanted some other opinions about my opinion of the problem we are having. The motor is a 1996 Johnson 175. The tilt located on the console switch will only move the motor down. We are able to use the t&t switch located on the motor housing; it operates the motor just fine up and down. So I assumed the solenoid switches and motor were all good. I figured that the console switch must be bad. When we unplugged the console switch harness and used a jumped wire to cross from red to green the motor moved down. But we were still unable to get the motor to move up by jumping the red and blue wire. The harness is a three wire system red blue and green. I have come to the conclusion that some where between the harness connection and the solenoid switch harness that the blue wire must be damaged. Is there another possibility that I have not considered?
