my tilt and trim seems to have gone belly up.

when I press the button to raise or lower the motor, all I hear is a "CLUNK' like the noise you get with a flat battery in a car.

I’ve checked battery, its fine. boat starts. all terminal points are clean as a whistle.

C.I.A (Cheers In Advance)

Greetings and welcome to the board. I will be willing to guess you have a corrosion problem. Remove every (YES EVERY) wire one at a time and sand the connection with emery cloth (or 200 sand paper) and re-attach them. The clunk you are hearing is the trim solinoid which is identical to a car starter solinoid. Try that and let us know what happens.

Bob :D

while attempting to tilt, check for power between the green and blue wires going to motor. If you have power there and the motor refuses to operate, its a motor issue. If no power there will triming, check the relays and possibly a fuse for the TnT. :)

thanks for all the info. she goes up and down ( now Ive cleaned the right conections)

one more question... there is a small screw on the right hand side of the motor, I unscrewed this a wee bit to far (it allows you to manually lift the motor)
now when I operate the trim, Oil squirts out)

B.O.A.T = Bring Out Another Thousand...
