have a Yamaha 1999 225 hp outboard. one of the cylinders is leaking around the piston. What do I need to do to fix that and where is a good place to buy the kit to fix that? Doesn't it require a special wrench to take the caps off the piston?
There's an o-ring in the trim cap behind the wiper seal. You definitely need the proper tool to remove the cap. Depending on your relationship with dealers, the Suzuki tool will work on the Yam. cap.
