I have a 1987 Mercury 25hp serial OB213279 that does not have power tilt and trim. Does anyone know what units I could adapt to work on this motor ?

Re: tilt and trim info

I think the CMC unit is a better choice. It is electrohydraulic and the Panther is all electric.

I frankly don't like either one. I have a CMC 130 on my Johnny 48SPL and am changing engines mostly to get factory PT&T.

What I don't like is that they are really tilt-only, where factory units trim with seperate, slow pistons and are far easier to adjust trim when on plane.

Based on my own experience, then, I recommend swapping engines to a factory PT&T engine rather than pouring hundreds of bux into an aftermarket unit.

Yes those Panther units are nice and the CNC PY-35 isnt bad either but My old Fisher boat doesnt need tilt and trim that bad lol. I am basically looking for tilt so I dont have to go to the back of the boat to lift the motor to avoid stumps , logs , etc.
Thanks for the input WillyB .

I am actually looking at used motors on ebay right now. I cant see spending $350-$550 just for an aftermarket tilt unit. And you are right JB ,I dont want to try to trim the motor with a tilt only unit.
