tilt and lift on a Johnson 50 hp.

Hi all I have a Johnson 50hp. Mod no.. BJ50BELCEC. Serial No.. 02252821. The engine has hydraulic steering as well as a hydraulic ram to assist with the tilt and trim. I have a couple of questions. First what is the year of this engine ( so I can get a manual) second where do I fill the hydraulic fluid to work the ram and third is the ram supposed to assist with the lifting as well as the lowering?? It will lower the engine slowly but I can not work out how it assists with the lifting. All help will be greatly appreciated..
