just got a used 1990 25 hp yamaha 25ELD 6L2L.first day out it started and idled fine. The problem is that when I twist the throttle to open it up it only turns 3/4 or less and it feels like I am getting some resistance and it won't open up.When I have it as far as it will turn it will go slow then I get wide open power but the throttle is still at 3/4 ish and once I let off, to control the speed it drops to low troll speed.I feel like I need to adjust the throttle cable or linkage but I'm not sure. The engine runs idles fine I get up on plane relatively easy.I get full power but the throttle is not turned to the wide open position.It just kicks in and hauls *****, so I let off a little to get some control and it slows to the slow trolling speed.This is my first post here so bare with me.any input or thoughts on this would help.I have a seloc maual that came with it, but it is confusing to me.
