hey guys i was wondering if i could take my mid 1960s merc and turn it into a tiller motor. it used to have a old cable steering setup but since i am redoing my boat id like to have a tiller motor, the motor runs fine i was just wondering if anybody had any information on converting these old motors

I don't think they made 80 hp tillers in the mid sixties. If they did you would have to be an arm wrestler to handle it.
