Hi seajay....do ya' got a service manual? If not and ya' intend ta' keep tha' 25 for a while, get one. Not trying to be a smart arse here seajay. The OEM manual will give ya' all the info ya need to remove the handle and replace the cable. Neat thing ta have also. Gives real good stuff on tuning and care of the old girl. The generics are OK for general stuff but when it comes to specifics, the OEM's got it all. Your local Johnny/Rude dealer can get ya one cause they still exixt. Just take your model number and order a service manual.
