Hello Everyone,
I am new to this forum, but I have read a lot of its posts in the past few weeks. I have been Tigershark shopping and have come across one that I'm debating and was looking for opinions. To set the stage, I have seen three, all 639cc Montegos, all between 1994-1995 (old hull style) which is what I want.
The first was $500 with trailer, it didn't run, and it had water and rust in some odd spots where their really shouldn't be water. The owner said it had been donated to the Goodwill which is where he got it and never got it to run. The water and donation of such a nice looking machine told me that it SUNK.... moving on.
The second was 850 with a trailer, it did start but would not idle. The engine compartiment was pretty dirty, but it could be made to run right with a little effort. The hood was cracked on the front and the guard was completely missing on the front (must have hit something). It looked pretty beaten up so I moved on.
The third and best is 1300 with a galvanized trailer. It was bought new in 1996 (1995 leftover) and has barely been used and it's very obvious. The engine compartment is very clean not a drop of dirt and the engine and exhaust is all bright and shiny. The cover is perfect and the ski isn't even faded. Started right up, idled, no apparent issues.
The question is, is the 3rd machine worth the money. It's is basically a brand new machine... So despite what the NADA and KBB values say, is it a good buy at 1300? What are your thoughts?

Re: Tigershark worth?

tigersharks just really are not worth any money anymore.. they were made by arctic cat and they have stopped making them for a while now. they are very hard to work on and impossible to get parts for. Basically you would be putting up money to ride the machine untill it breaks and then throw it away..
