tigershark cdi

I'm working on a 94 tigershark. ON attempt to start there is a click coming from the compartment were the cdi is and nothing else happens. Does anyone know how to test the cdi to see if that's the problem? thanks

If it wont turn over its the starter or the relay.If it cranks but mo spark its the cdi or pickup.
