Tickertape Parade

I was fortunate to attend the NY Giants tickertape parade through the canyon of heroes in NYC. It was a truly amazing experience and vowed to attend whenever a parade was scheduled. Tomorrow at 11am I have the privilege to attend the Womens World Cup tickertape parade. Taking a boat to the Battery Coast Guard station and enjoying the show. If you ever have the opportunity, do not pass it up. Followed the Fifa from the beginning and really was impressed with the spirit of this team. If my wife doesn't mind, I hoping to take Alex Morgan to lunch!

Ticker Tape parades are fun to participate in, for both the spectators as well as the participants, I was given a ticker tape parade when I returned from Iraq in 1991 and had so much fun, I thought it was overblown, but it is still one of my fondest memories.

It was fun, what was the most fun, it honored the guys I served with, they were a great bunch of guys and I love them as much as I do my family, those guys saved my life!

Hopefully they will get an invite to the White House too like SB winners etc.....

The shopping malls in NY must of been empty yesterday because every teenage girl in the area was at the parade, and boy were they loud! The crowd was not nearly as large as the previous parade I attended, but the cheering still echoed thru lower Manhattan. There was a steady breeze that kept the confetti aloft and filled the parade route. It was difficult figuring out who was who on the floats in street clothes and their hair down, but I had plenty of help from the crowd. Never had the chance to invite Alex to lunch, so I hoisted a few with my buddy instead to ease the pain.

MT, must of been quite special looking from the inside out. Well deserved!!!
