Thunderbolt IV 4'' box module wiring

Hello, I just replaced my ignition module after I burnt up the last one along with the coil. I got the boat running fine but I still have all ignition component getting warm. Could just be engine room warm but I wanted to ask to make sure... it's bearable to keep hand on coil and module but definitely hot. The ground wire coming from my thunderbolt 4 module where should I have that grounding to? I also have a ground wire that is between one of my 3 mounting bolts that the module is fastened by on the manifold. Should I have any wire be grounded between those mounting bolts? I also had aluminum spacers between the manifold and module but changed to nylon spacers, trying to avoid any metal making something funny happen again. I don't want to keep burning 150$ for modules. Since you provided very little to no info on what you actually have, here is the general Thunderbolt 4 wiring, as requested.
This is an Alpha. Bravo is same without the cut out switch.

I would ground to a bolt on the intake or block, eliminating at least 3 possible joints / points of failure.

With the engine running, clamp a test light wire to the battery neg post. Then touch the TB module grounded point with the test light point. If it lights, the ground sux and need to fix it. No light and it shows the ground point and the batt neg are same potential / GOOD ground.

Thank you, I have the old generation module the 4'' box but everything I find says its same schematic as what you attached. I can do that test you said just to confirm.
