Hi All

I need to get a bigger thrust washer for my s/s prop. Is it just any old washer? Can I shoot to Bunnings ( Walmart) and grab any washer for the prop? My 125 1988 Force's s/s prop rubs on the alloy of the leg when I spin it manually.

Cheers

Re: Thrust Washers

Nope Bunnings won't work.
You need to find the right hardened steel for the hub,any washers will deform as soon as you put power to the prop. You might be able to shim it out with a couple of big washers.
Post some pics of the thrust hub with the washer in it and a without. Then next to a ruler/tape.
Or better yet take it to a local dealer and ask them if they have a used one laying around.
NOTHING like the right stuff.J
