Thrust Washer stuck on old prop

I removed my original prop from my Volvo SX drive and the tapered thrust washer came off with the old prop but it seems to be stuck to the back (drive side) of the prop. Tried prying with a screwdriver and gripping with Channel-locks but I can not get the critter off. Any good ideas?? Heat? Hammer? Thanks

I'd think a few whacks of a hammer on it should get it loosened up. Just don't beat on the prop.

Can you stick a bar, piece of pipe, or other tool down through the hub and whack it with a hammer?..that way you'll be forcing it directly off from where it's stuck. good Luck!
