on the back of the leg is the exhaust relief ports, you should almost immediately get a mist, or droplets out of there, that is the tale tell. and get water out the prop, if using muffs.

So how do i know if its over heating?? When i ran with the muffs on i dont remember if i got water out of the prop or not. How long should it take to warm up so it kicks the pump on??

And on the back side there are 2 slits with faded writing that said somthing like patented noise reduction. Is that where the mist should be?

Lastly is it hard to change the water pump on this model?

you need an OEM Manual. the pumps starts when the motor starts, yes the slits are where you should see the mist, or drops.

If the motor is running the pump is running.

Feel the head around the plugs when it's running. If you cant hold your hand on it for a few seconds or water sizzles when splashed on it, it's too hot.

From the questions you have asked it sure sounds like it's not pumping water. If it was, you'd see it / know it.

I do not know that engine but most LU's are not that hard to drop. If you're unfamiliar with it though I (and most) would recommend a manual.
