thrown rod

my 1979 evinrude 100 hp threw a rod through the crankcase. anyone have an idea on where i can locate an intact powerhead (crank, pistons, rods, pistons and case?) new parts would be about 4-5K - the boat, a 79 crestliner crusader 550 has otherwise been restored)

eBay...or you might want to find a "donor motor" that has an intact powerhead or a least rebuildable. Check craigslist too!

good idea on the donar motor. i find it interesting that the value of the motor seems to go up as soon as it is detached from the boat!
