Hi all,
don't often work on boats (usually motorbikes or cars) but my dads Rhib (Yamaha 50 outboard) throttle is stuck.
I took the cover off and originally thought it would be a cable issue from the hand throttle. Upon inspection i found that the connecting rod between all 4 intake manifolds wouldn't move. i disconnected it so i could freely move each air intake throttle body and injector. 1-3 move by hand easily and i can stary and rev (misfiring) 3 of the cylinders by hand. the 4th one is seized like hell and i can only open and close it via leverage with a screwdriver. I've greased everything and left it a few days but still nothing.
the boat goes into both reverse and drive but the hand throttle wont budge past idle so it can only go maybe 2-3 knots. the seized throttle body is stopping it from moving even an inch let alone to WOT. i loosened everything but it still doesn't want to budge - after moving it open with a screwdriver greased it then closed then greased it and so on it has slightly more movement but apart from disassembling the engine i am not sure what to do now and its out on the water (not really where i want to start taking it apart)
Any help is appreciated
